Time to Do Some Spring Cleaning?

As part of being good Stewards, we should always be looking for opportunities to help others fulfill some basic needs.Â There are 3 basic needs that need to be met — food, clothing and shelter.

This article is dedicated to providing clothing.Â Now that it is spring, it is a good time to go through your closets and cull out those clothes that no longer fit there.Â If you haveÂ household members who are growing in size, be sure to look through their drawers also.

There are many organizations including the Salvation Army who will accept clothing items and they appreciate not receiving all of them on December 31.Â Â This is the last day that you can give and receive a tax deduction for the year.Â Be sure to get a receipt as IRS rules now require documentation for all gifts over $250.
